Best Restaurants in Croatia – “360°” by Jeffrey Vella, Dubrovnik

Opened this past summer, in place of former Gil’s, “360°” by Jeffrey Vella is the latest addition to Dubrovnik culinary scene. The place continues to be a very high end restaurant and it is still one of the most prestigious places on the coast. The menu is still modern but Mr. Vella did a great job incorporating classic local ingredients which was not the case while the restaurant was run by Gilles Camillieri whose cuisine relied heavily on imported French goods. I never had the chance to eat at Zinfandel in Zagreb while it was run by chef Vella and, as soon as I heard that he took over Gil’s, I knew I had to go there next time I was in Dubrovnik.

I had  a chance to eat there twice this summer and the photos are from my first visit in July. Since we were not all that hungry – but still had to eat something – we ordered only main dish and dessert.

Then ended up choosing  “A take on Fritto Misto” and “A take on Croatian classic”

The tastes were simply perfect! The desserts were also spectacular!

On both occasions we ate there, everything was perfect: from great food to service and settings.

“360°” by Jeffrey Vella is a special place. Perfect for honeymooners, small groups, business dinners… It is also an expensive place but that is to be expected for this type of restaurant. I must also say, it is worth every penny!
