When designing the company, photo tours were supposed to be one of the most important parts of the project Secret Dalmatia. But, we mostly work with individuals and we are considering alternative ways for promoting our group tours. The first photo tour we had, was designed for Mr. Dennis Cox He has established “following” and it is much easier for him to sell a tour than it is for us with our limited reach.
So, the tour was planned for May 2008. The last week of May is usually the best time of the year for this activity since it is mostly clear and the weather is sunny. But not in 2008.
So, by the time the group reached Zadar area where we met, they have already experienced several cloudy days with some serious rain.
We met Dennis’ group in Biograd and I took them personally to the hinterland of Zadar and Šibenik for some lovely and unique scenes most of the people never get to see. The clouds followed but allowed us some nice shots of Vrana castle, Vransko Jezero Lake and some other nice views.
The photo group continued south to Split and Hvar to end the program in Dubrovnik and Montenegro. Despite the rainy few days in Istria, the tour was a lovely success and here you can learn more on photo tours of Croatia and Dalmatia. Of course, custom tours available upon request.
