Ok, it is pretentious to put this newly opened restaurant on a list of the best restaurants but let’s be supportive. It definitely has all the elements that can get it there: wonderful settings in Split’s ACI Marina, great and stylish interiors and fairly good chef…
So, I invited my business partner Martin of Cro Yachting to join me for lunch so I can see if the food is any good.
We started with platter of Dalmatian favorites: octopus salad, shrimps and tuna “ham”. Quit a good start!
Next: I felt like ordering some sea shells with home made pasta in red sauce as that was promising. The sea shells were fresh and nicely cooked although this combination was never my favorite: I eat shellfish with no extras. Again, nicely presented and simply very tasty!
We also enjoyed some Korta Katarina Pošip but later we tried Korak’s Chardonnay Sur lie: always one of my favorite Croatian whites!
And, as my “sweet tooth” always asks for it: desserts!
Again, this is a lovely place with stylish and very nice interiors located in the very prestigious part of Split and just next to the dock for luxury yachts. So, there is no question that they will be busy. However, I do feel that the menu should be more interesting and more daring: definitely sea food and definitely local but maybe more unusual. The menu as is right now, is ok but it will not attract serious clients. And that would be a pity as all the elements for serious restaurants are there. Just a little bit of imagination…
Still, I would recommend this restaurant for business dining and for more upscale restaurant experience in Split. It is located right in the main building of ACI marina and here are the basics:
