Restaurant Bruschetta is on of the latest restaurants opened in Zadar in recent times. It is also a very popular restaurant located near the very waterfront and we have been trying to get in every time we were in Zadar but, in the summer time, it was simply impossible to get a seat!
So, we waited till December 🙂

I must say that my expectations from Zadar restaurants are fairly low. Mostly because of usual staff that has been trained in the 80s and never “updated” their skills and approach. However, this was a pleasant surprise.
They even apologized for the school kids that stormed the place coming for pizza (obviously pre – arranged meal)! Well, I understand that times are tough and every customer is a good customer. I must also say that they are on a good location: just bellow the court house and next to Stomorica church ruins and that little business folks left in the city center are probably their best clients.

And now about the food. It is good!
Finally a step away from the regular routine with mixed meet, risotto, spaghetti…
I ordered a steak with mushrooms and my wife went with green gnocchi with shrimps. Both were delicious!

Finally a place that serves really good food and I would not be afraid to go back. I enjoyed a glass of Korta Katarina Plavac with this and it was one great lunch.

But lunch without a dessert is not a proper lunch so we went with cheese cake with pistachio…

and I went with Bruschetta cake with dark and white chocolate…

Although Bruschetta Restaurant markets itself as a pizzeria and spaghetteria, it is definitely a place where one can enjoy a good and interesting meal at very good price. So no wonder for those crowds this past summer! I am sure they will be full next summer as well!
