Wine Tours of Croatia – Frano Miloš

Few are the wine makers that made so much in their life like Frano Miloš.He is a curly-headed, perhaps in his early forties, more of an artist than a wine maker and very charismatic—as testified by the magazine articles posted in his tasting room. His work also decorates these walls, giving the tasting room a pleasant, personalized touch. Clearly a visit here is meant to be a well rounded sensory experience. Frano is embracing a wine style from the time of his grandfathers which comes surprising to most wine connoisseurs.

It was back in the early 90s when his Stangnum first appeared that Frano was in the center of national attention. Proving that traditional grape varieties have the potential of “the best”, his Stagnum was the most sought and most written about wine in the recent history.
The famous plavac grape was reaching new heights…

Today, Miloš is still a prime example of a modern wine maker. Stagnum is not that popular any more but the cellar and Frano himself are well worth the visit. This wine shrine is offered as part of our exclusive Secret Dalmatia Wine Tour and can bee booked separately as a shore excursion from Korčula or Dubrovnik.
